We help relieve food emergencies of NIU Students . . . food insecurity should not be the result of seeking one's education.
The Huskies Student Food Pantry is located at 401 Normal Road, De Kalb, IL, in the Grace Place Campus Ministry building, across Lucinda Avenue from the NIU Holmes Student Center, at the heart of the NIU campus.
OUR VISION:
An NIU Student Population not challenged more by their food needs than by their education needs.

Student comments:

"The Huskies Student Food Pantry is a great idea! As a student struggling to pay tuition, rent, and other school related expenses, the food pantry gives me the food necessities I would not have sufficient money for. The fact that it is only for NIU students makes it more "welcoming" and feels more "tailored" for the students."

"The Huskies Student Food Pantry is a resource that should be utilized by all students in need. Don't be afraid to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity! As a full-time student with two unemployed parents I often find it a struggle to budget my money so that I will have meals for the full week. The food pantry gives me the meals that I otherwise could not afford. Thank you Huskies Student Food Pantry!!!"
